    Anthony D. Phillips is Partner in the San Francisco office of Gordon & Rees and a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He represents businesses before courts and regulators including in complex cases involving contract disputes, regulatory compliance, fraud, unfair competition and other business torts.

    Since 2016, his practice has focused increasingly on representing early-stage cannabis ventures and established mainstream businesses entering the rapidly evolving legal cannabis environment. He provides business advice, transactional support for investment deals, and litigation counsel to the industry.

    Prior to law school, Mr. Phillips worked as the Director of Product Management for an emerging-growth software company where he learned firsthand how to build, grow, and run a business.
