    Candice S. Nam is the Co-Managing Partner of the Los Angeles office of GRSM, and a member of the Commercial Litigation, Product & General Liability, Aviation, Franchise Law, and Employment Law practice groups.  

    Candice specializes in representing businesses and franchisors in commercial disputes involving breaches of contract, unfair competition, and misappropriation of trade secrets.  Candice also defends clients across a wide range of labor and employment claims, including claimed wage and hour and FEHA violations, as well as allegations pertaining to Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Additionally, Candice’s practice includes defending helicopter and general aviation manufacturers in wrongful death and personal injury claims of product defects and negligence, and consumer class actions under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and other federal and state consumer protection acts.  Candice handles her matters from initiation to resolution, including case and trial management, depositions, and preparing and arguing dispositive motions.

    Prior to joining GRSM, Candice represented small to mid-size businesses in all aspects of business litigation, and successfully second-chaired a jury trial that resulted in the dismissal of a multimillion-dollar claim against her clients.

    • Prevailed on summary judgment on behalf of a national property management company in a premises liability action in which the plaintiff and his former acquaintance were engaged in a physical altercation.
    • Secured summary adjudication on behalf of national client pertaining to enforceability of non-compete provisions in employment agreements.
    • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a national real estate franchisor on its rights under the Franchise Agreement against its franchisee.
    • Successfully defended against claim of negligence against property owner regarding criminal conduct next to prestigious university.
    • Defend manufacturers of fixed wing aircraft and helicopters in products liability and negligence claims.
