    David J. Grech is Partner in the New York offices of GRSM and a member of the Employment Law and Advertising & E-Commerce practice groups. David counsels private and public sector employers on labor and employment matters, including compliance with federal statutes and regulations and their New York State and local counterparts. He has prepared and implemented employee handbooks and policy manuals, drafted and negotiated collective bargaining agreements, and guided his clients through employment applications, hirings, disciplinary matters, grievances, arbitrations, terminations, and severance agreements. As a litigator, David defends local, national, and international employers before state and federal trial and appellate courts.

    David’s litigation practice includes representing his clients in all aspects of civil litigation before the New York State courts, New York State Commercial Division, and federal courts, including pleadings, discovery, mediation, motion practice, trial, settlement, and enforcement. He has practiced before enforcement agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, Department of Labor, Division of Human Rights, Public Employment Relations Board, Workers’ Compensation Board, Department of Environmental Conservation, Education Department, and Department of Buildings, winning numerous hearings and trials. And David has perfected and argued appeals before the Appellate Divisions of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, the Workers’ Compensation Board and Board Panels, the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, and the Industrial Board of Appeals.

    Prior to joining GRSM, David worked at a boutique management-side labor and employment law firm, which was a successor to one of the first of such firms on Long Island.
