    Gabriel G. Hedrick is a Partner in the San Diego office of GRSM and is a member of the Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property practice groups. Gabriel is a civil litigator with a background in complex corporate litigation. Gabriel has represented various multi-national companies and individuals in a wide variety of legal disputes involving, among other things, intellectual property litigation in Federal and State court, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He has also litigated high-stakes business disputes, including shareholder derivative actions, breach of contract, and employment matters. In addition to his litigation experience, Gabriel assists clients with transactional matters, including intellectual property licensing, contracts and corporate transactions.

    • Successfully assisted retailer client in securing termination of Section 337 investigation before the U.S. International Trade Commission
    • Represented four defendants in California Superior Court case involving allegations of trade secret misappropriation and breach of fiduciary duty
    • Represented plaintiffs and counterclaim defendants in a trade dress infringement action through trial in the Southern District of California and appeal to the Ninth Circuit
    • Assisted client in enforcing U.S. patent on a cant indication device in the Middle District of Georgia, which led to defendant re-designing their product and settling the case
    • Represented and advised Korean cosmetics company in defense of trademark opposition before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and in defense of alleged trademark infringement in Southern District of New York
    • Represented plaintiff in multiple patent infringement cases involving IC chip bonding technology in both the Southern District of California and Northern District of California, which resulted in numerous favorable settlements
    • Represented San Diego technology company in multiple patent infringement cases in the Southern District of California and Northern District of California, as well as inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, involving clients’ patents covering “Internet of Things” and flash memory technology, which resulted in numerous favorable settlements for the client
    • Certain Automated Media Library Devices, U.S. International Trade Commission, Investigation No. 337-TA-746, representing five respondents in a Section 337 investigation involving automated data storage devices, resulting in a complete victory after trial and appeal for the firm’s client
