    Katelyn Werner focuses her practice primarily in the representation of corporations and professionals against various claims including contractual disputes, professional liability, employment discrimination, personal injury, and wrongful death claims. She represents insurance companies in cases involving complex extra-contractual matters such as alleged bad faith denials, Bashor and Nunn agreements, and coverage.

    Ms. Werner also represents Class I railroads and short line railroads in FELA lawsuits, crossing collisions, and administrative proceedings before the Colorado Public Utilities Commission. Ms. Werner’s experience includes serving as national counsel for a Class I railroad in mass tort cases. Previously, Ms. Werner was selected and served as part of the Young Attorney Executive Advisory Board of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (NARTC).

    Ms. Werner has experience successfully representing clients in commercial disputes as well as all aspects of litigation in state and federal court, including pre-litigation matters, dispositive motions practice, settlements, trials, and appeals.

    Ms. Werner was previously selected and served on the board of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (CDLA). She has also served as the Vice Chair of the General Liability Committee of the CDLA.  She is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations. When she is not working, Ms. Werner serves as a Board Member of the Trinity University Alumni Association for the Colorado Chapter.
