Lori N. Brown is Senior Counsel in the Phoenix office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Commercial Litigation and Employment Law practice groups. Ms. Brown has extensive experience in labor and employment law as well as commercial litigation and professional liability. Ms. Brown regularly defends brokers, agents, and other professionals in serious malpractice claims. She previously managed the Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona offices of a well-known firm concentrating her practice on labor and employment and business and corporate law.
Ms. Brown’s legal experience began with an internship at the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, in Washington, D.C. She furthered her training in private practice assisting clients with employment discrimination complaints, Merit Systems Protection Board appeals and disability claims. She also served as an Unemployment Insurance Hearing Examiner in the Appeals Division for the State of Maryland’s Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation.
Ms. Brown regularly advises clients on employment-related legal issues in an effort to avoid litigation. She also conducts training seminars on current legal issues facing employers. Her practice also includes employment and commercial litigation cases in state and federal courts.
Ms. Brown earned her undergraduate degree from George Washington University, graduating cum laude and earned her Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law. In addition to being a member of the State Bar of Arizona, Ms. Brown is also admitted to practice in Nevada, California, Maryland, New York and the District of Columbia.
