Alonzo Llorens to be Featured in Six Column Series for Diversity & The Bar

March 2015

Gordon & Rees Atlanta partner Alonzo Llorens has been selected by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association to author six columns in the magazine Diversity & The Bar.

Llorens’ first column titled, “Crowdfunding: What’s All the Fuss About?” was featured in the January/February 2015 edition of Diversity & The Bar. The column discussed the difficulties startups and other companies can face when trying to gain capital, especially in the early-stages. Llorens addressed the impact that SEC final rules will have on the future of crowdfunding. He writes “Once the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issues its final rules with respect to crowdfunding, the capital-raising landscape, particularly for startup and early-stage entities, is expected to vastly improve.”

Llorens is a member of the Business Transactions practice group. He focuses on transactions including: public offerings, private offerings, mergers and acquisitions, formation of funds, strategic alliances, film financing and general corporate matters. He is experienced in public and private offerings, SEC compliance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters and other complex transactions.
