Gordon & Rees Announces New Office Managing Partners

As of April 1, 2017, Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani has named new office managing partners in the San Francisco, Oakland, Atlanta and Birmingham offices.

Adam Sugarman has been elevated to Office Managing Partner of the San Francisco and Oakland offices and has joined the firm's Executive Committee. Joining Sugarman in management of the San Francisco and Oakland offices is Marie Trimble Holvick as Assistant Managing Partner.

In the firm's Atlanta office, Leslie Eason joins Chad Shultz as Co-Office Managing Partner. Eason has also taken over as Office Managing Partner of the Birmingham, Alabama office.

Adam Sugarman is a member of the firm's Employment Law, Labor and Sports, Media & Entertainment practice groups. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star® in Employment Litigation for eight straight years (2010–2017).  In 2013, The Recorder named him to its list of "Lawyers on the Fast Track," which includes 50 California attorneys likely to be tomorrow's top lawyers and leaders. In addition to his employment, commercial litigation, and general liability practices, Mr. Sugarman acts as outside general counsel for a number of companies, advising Boards of Directors, executives and management on legal and business matters, including general risk management, mergers, acquisitions, venture capital, private equity funding, intellectual property issues, and a broad spectrum of other corporate transactions.

Marie Trimble Holvick is a member of the firm's Employment Law and Retail & Hospitality practice groups. She has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star® in Employment and Labor since 2015. Her experience includes handling employment matters involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, whistleblower claims, violations of the FMLA, the FEHA, and the ADA, and PAGA and class action “wage and hour” violations. Holvick also regularly provides advice and counseling, prepares employee handbooks, and conducts harassment and management training sessions. Her counseling experience includes assisting with employee discipline and terminations following HIPAA breaches. Holvick’s employment law work has involved clients from a wide range of industries, including restaurants, wineries, hotels, health care, and manufacturing.

Leslie Eason is member of the firm's Employment Law, Commercial Litigation and Tort & Product Liability practice groups. Her employment practice centers on assisting corporate entities with all aspects of employment-related business operations, including the creation and implementation of policies and procedures; training for staff and supervisors; administrative investigations; mediation; litigation; trial; and appeal.  A particular focus of Eason’s Tort & Product Liability practice is the representation of clients against wage-and-hour claims, discrimination claims, and disability claims. She also has successfully defended clients in matters involving products liability claims and high exposure torts. Eason also handles commercial disputes and represents public and privately held entities and their principals in business-related disputes arising from both internal and external sources. She focuses on a broad array of industries including healthcare providers, telecommunications companies, franchisors, security companies, tech companies, and service companies.
