Gordon & Rees Elevates Philip Robert Brinson to Partnership

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani recently elevated Philip Robert Brinson to its partnership. He is partner in the firm's Houston office.

Philip Robert Brinson is an experienced trial lawyer who possesses unique skills derived from experience outside of the legal profession that have made him not only a trusted advocate for his clients, but also a formidable adversary in the courtroom. Brinson has extensive legal experience in a variety of practice areas, including entertainment, hospitality and dram shop, intellectual property, premises liability, products liability, professional liability, employment, and business and commercial litigation. Over his legal career, Brinson has gained first-chair trial experience on numerous cases involving Dram Shop, Assault/Battery, Defamation Premises, Employment, Copyright/Trademark Infringement, and Product Liability litigation, and is adept in presenting cases to both the Texas appellate courts and the United States Court of Appeals. He has represented his clients on various matters in counties throughout Texas, in addition to California, Nevada, Florida, Louisiana, Delaware, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.

Brinson received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law and his B.S. in Economics from Texas A&M University. For four consecutive years, he has been recognized on the Texas Monthly magazine's list of Texas Super Lawyers (2013-2016) in civil litigation defense as well as received an "AV" rating by Martindale Hubbell. Brinson is admitted to practice in Texas, U.S. District Court, Eastern, Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas, and U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, Austin Bar Association, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, and American Bar Association.
