Gordon & Rees Partner Stephen Ronk Selected to the American Board of Trial Advocates

Gordon & Rees is pleased to announce that partner Stephen Ronk has been selected to become a member in the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). This membership is by invitation only and based on a trial lawyer’s skill, civility and integrity. Only attorneys with significant civil trial experience are selected for membership.

The American Board of Trial Advocates is a national association of more than 6,000 experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Since 1958, ABOTA has worked to uphold the jury system and to elevate the standards of integrity, civility and professionalism in the legal profession. Its aim is to aid in further education and training of trial lawyers and to provide a forum for discussion through which trial lawyers can have an active voice. It seeks attorneys who display skill, civility and integrity, to help younger attorneys achieve educate the public about the vital importance of the Seventh Amendment.

Steve Ronk is a trial partner and practice group leader in Gordon & Rees’s Los Angeles office. He has an active practice focusing on employment litigation and disputes in the civil courts, before administrative agencies, and in arbitration proceedings. Mr. Ronk’s practice includes counseling organizations on employment practices and defending them in lawsuits involving all types of employment disputes including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, employment agreements, wage and hour class actions, and other related issues.

Mr. Ronk has tried numerous cases to verdict and has successfully handled civil appeals before the California and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Ronk also has extensive experience in the defense of other civil litigation matters including products liability suits.
