Phoenix Partner Kami Hoskins Recognized as State Bar of Arizona’s "Volunteer of the Month"

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Partner Kami M. Hoskins has been recognized as the State Bar of Arizona's "Volunteer of the Month" for January 2019. Hoskins received this honor for her active participation with the State Bar of Arizona's Continuing Legal Education Programs. In 2018, she presented at the State Bar of Arizona's Diversity and Inclusion Conference, CLE Institute, Course on Professionalism, and the 2018 Solo and Small Firm Institute.

To recognize Kami as "Volunteer of the Month", the State Bar of Arizona mailed a postcard to its membership. The postcard will be on display during January 2019 at the offices of the State Bar of Arizona. 

Kami Hoskins is a member of Gordon & Rees' Employment Law, Commercial Litigation, and Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors' Rights practice groups. She is dedicated to creating and implementing effective resolutions to complex legal issues for a variety of clients. Ms. Hoskins is also an accomplished diversity and inclusion facilitator.

Ms. Hoskins has litigated and successfully resolved numerous employment claims in state court, federal court, and arbitration in favor of employers, including claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Arizona Wage Act, the Arizona Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Arizona Civil Rights Act, the Arizona Employment Protection Act (whistleblower), injunctions against workplace harassment, as well as contract and tort claims. She defends employers against charges of employment discrimination and retaliation based on race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, and national origin filed with state and federal agencies, including the EEOC and Arizona Attorney General.  Ms. Hoskins also represents non-unionized employers before the National Labor and Relations Board. In addition, Ms. Hoskins represents debtors and creditors in all manner of bankruptcy disputes.
