Gordon & Rees Elevates 17 to Partnership in Offices Nationwide

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani has elevated 17 attorneys to partnership. Located in offices throughout the country and experienced in a broad range of legal areas, these new partners are positioned to collaborate with our national practice groups to meet the various legal needs of our clients.

Ashley Felton Eckerly is partner in the Chicago and Detroit offices. She focuses her practice on complex mass tort litigation relating to personal injuries involving products, premises and contractor liability claims. As local and national counsel, she is actively involved in the litigation and trial of complex tort cases in Illinois and throughout the country. Felton is also is accredited through the Veteran's Administration to assist veterans in the filing and/or appeal of claims for benefits earned through service in the United States military.

Nicole Demmon is a partner in the Seattle office. Her practice focuses on employment litigation where she represents employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour matters. Demmon practices in both state and federal court.

Sara Gronkiewicz-Doran is partner in the Chicago office. She concentrates her practice in the areas of insurance coverage, cyber insurance, professional liability, fidelity & surety, and bank litigation.  Gronkiewicz-Doran represents insurance carriers with respect to claims under both first party and third party policies, and advises her clients from initial coverage determinations through the appellate process. She also has significant experience handling complex coverage litigation involving commercial general liability policies, including cases involving such issues as environmental contamination, mass torts, products liability, and construction defects. 

Daniel Hyzak is partner in the Columbus office. Hyzak represents oil and gas operators and interest owners across the state via the firm's broad-based energy practice. He focuses his practice in a variety of energy-related litigation matters, including: oil and gas royalty disputes; oil and gas lease issues related to lease interpretation, modification and/or termination; energy related trespass, damage and injury claims; mineral rights’ disputes; condemnation actions for energy exploration, development and pipeline projects; as well as energy-related contract disputes. Hyzak also focuses his practice on certain transactional matters and maintains a general commercial litigation practice.

Stephanie Jones is a partner in the Chicago office. She represents employers, management-level executives, and businesses in areas including employment, franchise, real estate, consumer protection, and environmental/toxic tort litigation. She has successfully litigated cases on behalf of her clients before administrative agencies, and in state and federal courts. She also regularly defends businesses of all sizes in litigation stemming from contract disputes, tort liability claims, and consumer credit issues. 

Andrea Kraemer is a partner in the Boston office. She focuses her practice on defense litigation, including the areas of complex tort and general liability, labor and employment, aviation and professional liability. She has significant experience in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts as well as before various administrative agencies. Aware that her clients prefer quick and cost-effective solutions to complex and potentially protracted liability cases, Kraemer accelerates turnaround through procedural dismissals, substantive dismissals, successful tenders and negotiated settlements. When early resolutions are not possible, Kraemer works aggressively to obtain favorable outcomes for her clients.

Justin Lewis is a partner in the San Diego office. He focuses his practice on class action defense, commercial litigation, and unfair competition. Lewis’s extensive class action experience embraces both the consumer and franchising contexts. Defending a preeminent manufacturer of consumer products in a recent class action, he defeated a top plaintiffs’ firm and a celebrity attorney on the first day of trial, securing decertification and dismissal before the first witness took the stand. Lewis also holds significant appellate and international arbitration experience.  

Jessica Luke is a partner in the San Francisco office. She is a member of the firm's employment practice group and represents employers in single plaintiff and class action matters in state and federal courts in California, as well as claims before the EEOC, DFEH, EDD, and DLSE. Luke defends employers against claims such as wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower statutes, and wage and hour actions. Her practice also includes counseling employers on preventative employment policies and practices involving all areas of federal, state, and local employment law.

Justin Michitsch is a partner in the San Diego office. He is a member of the firm's employment practice group and represents both private and public employers. He has significant experience defending single/multi-plaintiff lawsuits as well as complex class actions in state and federal court.  His practice also includes handling matters involving employee safety regulations and accidents filed with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (at both the state and federal level), labor issues venued with the National Labor Relations Board, and arbitrations pursuant to collective bargaining agreements. Additionally, he advises clients on discrete employment-related issues and assists businesses with federal and California employment law compliance, including development and implementation of employee policies and procedures.

Maya Pri-Tal Ohana is a partner in the San Francisco office. She is a member of the employment practice group and has experience in handling all phases of civil defense litigation in both federal and state courts. She also represents clients before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Ohana defends employers against claims including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, and alleged wage and hour violations. In addition to litigation, Ohana’s practice includes strategic advice and counseling to employers on a wide variety of employment issues including employment policies, disability accommodation, wage and hour issues, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and harassment and discrimination claims. She also assists in conducting internal investigations related to workplace complaints.

Anna Reinert is a partner in the Denver office. Reinert represents employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in matters involving alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Equal Pay Act (EPA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), the Colorado Wage Act, and the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act (CADA). Reinert counsels clients to reach positive outcomes in court, administrative proceedings and mediation. She uses her extensive regulatory experience to assist clients in the development of policies and procedures that follow compliance principles, reduce fraud and abuse, and promote client objectives. 

Brian Roth is a partner in the Chicago office. Roth has handled cases in state and federal courts nationwide, including successful trial experience in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. He represents businesses and individuals in a broad range of complex commercial matters, including those involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, business tort, trade secrets, and fraud claims. He also has substantial experience in the area of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements. In his employment practice, he routinely handles individual and class employment discrimination, employee benefits, and wage and hour litigation on behalf of employers and management-level individuals. He also defends organizations in environmental and product liability cases alleging exposure to chemicals and other potentially hazardous substances. 

Andrew Scott is a partner in the Houston office. He is an experienced trial, litigation and transactional attorney. His practice includes the representation of a broad range of business entities, individuals, insureds and insurers in both litigation and business transactional matters. Scott has extensive experience in representing both self-insured and insured clients in matters involving complex commercial litigation, non-competes and restrictive covenants, labor and employment, business litigation, securities litigation, director and officer, first and third party and insurance disputes. Scott has tried multiple cases to verdict and litigated hundreds of cases in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts throughout Texas. He has also handled appeals before Texas and Federal appellate courts.

Carrie Stringham is a partner in the San Diego office. Her practice focuses on defending both private and public entity clients from discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability accommodation, wrongful termination and wage and hour lawsuits, among others. She also has significant experience defending a wide array of complex litigation matters for many high profile clients in the areas of commercial, real property, civil rights, personal injury, and premises liability litigation. Stringham has been very successful at resolving cases for her clients via pre-trial motions in both state and federal courts, as well as through mediations, early settlement negotiations, and arbitrations. Stringham has also successfully argued before the California Court of Appeals on multiple occasions and has participated in several jury trials in which favorable verdicts were obtained.

Tyler Tarney is a partner in the Columbus office. Tarney litigates and manages risk in complex commercial, trade secret & non-compete, mass tort, and employment disputes. He has won multiple Sixth Circuit appeals, handled cases with bet-the-company exposure and national media attention, defeated injunctions and set influential precedent in high-stakes trade secret disputes, conducted several hundred depositions, and coordinated state and national mass tort defense strategy. Recently, a federal court in Ohio appointed him national Liaison Counsel for a group of defendants in the opioid Multi-District Litigation.

Ian Williamson is a partner in the San Diego office. He is a member of the firm's environmental/toxic tort and construction practice groups. Williamson has experience handling insurance coverage litigation, construction litigation, business litigation, and insurance defense for construction defect and general liability. He currently represents several construction and automotive industry clients in the defense of asbestos claims. Williamson has also advised and represented clients in contract negotiation, mechanic's lien claims, construction contract disputes and construction defect litigation. He has also represented and advised institutional property owners on construction issues. Williamson has represented virtually every sub-trade from underground utilities to roofing and skylights in both commercial and residential construction. He is currently General Counsel to a number of construction-industry clients and has also represented design professionals in malpractice claims.

Mallory Wynne is a partner in the New Orleans office. Wynne is a litigator with a practice primarily focused on resolving disputes arising out of maritime personal injury, vessel collisions/allisions, contractual and indemnity disputes, marine construction, marine insurance, toxic tort and occupational disease, and all aspects of oil and gas operations worldwide. This experience includes trial practice in federal, state courts, and arbitration, in addition to briefing of appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. She also has broad experience in emergency investigation and incident response involving serious injuries or fatalities and/or significant property damage, including interviewing key witnesses and personnel, gathering evidence and interacting with insurance adjusters and governmental agencies. Wynne’s experience also includes a wide range of commercial matters, including insurance defense and coverage, complex construction disputes, and government contract claims.
