Lance E. Shurtleff Joins Gordon & Rees as Partner in the Denver Office

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Lance E. Shurtleff as a partner in the Denver office. Shurtleff joins the firm in the Construction, Environmental/Toxic Tort, Professional Liability Defense and Trucking & Transportation practice groups. Shurtleff was previously with a regional law firm in its Denver and Laramie, Wyoming offices.

Shurtleff is an experienced trial attorney and has handled complex cases in state and federal court. He also handles matters before a variety of regulatory boards. He provides legal advice to clients in the trucking and oil and gas industries on the rapidly evolving regulations impacting these industries, as well as handles OSHA, MSHA and EEOC claims. He further advises product designers and manufacturers on issues related to recurrent claims arising from design and manufacturing problems and routinely defends against claims and lawsuits brought against his clients involved in these industries.

Shurtleff is licensed to practice in Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Shurtleff is rated AV-Preeminent®, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards by the Martindale-Hubbell® peer review system. From 2013-2017, Shurtleff was also rated as a Colorado Super Lawyer®, "Rising Star," in Personal Injury General: Defense.

Shurtleff is a member of the Wyoming Bar Association, Defense Lawyers Association of Wyoming, Colorado & Denver Bar Associations, North Dakota Bar Association, International Association of Defense Counsel (Trial Subcommittee), and DRI (Trucking and Toxic Tort Subcommittees). He also serves as a volunteer for The Children's Hospital Foundation, the South Suburban Parks and Recreation, the Food Bank for the Rockies and Peach's Neet Feet.
