Partner Lisa Cappelluti and Panel Publish West Coast Casualty Presentation on Practical Guide for SB800 Repair Claims

May 2020

San Francisco Partner Lisa Cappelluti was selected as a panelist for the West Coast Casualty Construction Defect Seminar originally scheduled for May 14 and May 15, 2020. The event program shifted to publish presentation materials for the conference due to COVID-19 safety orders.

Cappelluti was selected to present in a panel entitled, So Many Defects, So Little Coverage: A Practical Guide to Handling SB800 Claims & “Work and “Product” Exclusions. The panel covered key points about when SB800 violations trigger coverage, accessing coverage on a case-by-case basis, and pleading and mediation strategies. The West Coast Casualty Construction Defect Seminar provides an annual opportunity to learn about the prosecution, defense, insurance coverage, and technology regarding this specialized subject of claims and litigation.

Cappelluti is a Partner in the San Francisco office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Construction practice group. Her practice emphasizes the representation of developers and general contractors in construction disputes and contract consultations. She has represented clients in a wide variety of cases, for both residential and commercial construction projects.
