Mark Davis (SF) recently led a Gordon & Rees team that included Don Woodard (ATL), Leonor Dicdican (SAC), and Peter Ente (OC) to complete a private securities offering and celebrity endorsement agreement for client Riot Hospitality Group. Proceeds from the securities offering will be used to build-out and open “Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row” – a new concept and the client’s first location.
The first Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row -- billed as a modern country-western bar with a touch of Southern comfort -- will be located in Scottsdale, Arizona. It is the second concept of Riot Hospitality Group in Arizona, which has successfully managed and operated the “El Hefe Super Macho Taqueria” concept since 2010, which Gordon & Rees assisted in expanding to the Chicago market earlier this year.
Last week’s financial closing was the culmination of nearly a year of work by the multi-office Gordon & Rees team and involved several disciplines, including the Tax, Securities, Business Transactions, and Sports, Media & Entertainment Practice Groups.
