Gordon & Rees to Sponsor and Denver Partner Franz Hardy to Present at DRI Seminar

February 2015

Gordon & Rees will again sponsor, and Denver partner Franz Hardy will present at, the Defense Research Institute's Life, Health, Disability and ERISA Seminar, to be held April 15-17 at the Washington, D.C. Marriott Marquis.

The seminar features leading practitioners who will provide insights into trends and developments in the law. Hardy will present on April 16 at 2:20 p.m. His presentation titled “The Sum of All Parts: Why Diverse Legal Teams Get Better Results” will focus on the importance of having diversity in the defense of lawsuits. The program description provides, "Understanding the point of view of a claimant, judge, jury, or even a witness can be the difference between winning, losing, or accurately assessing settlement value. Learn why adding diversity to your team could be the best (and most critical) move you make."

Hardy also serves as the program chair for the 2015 DRI Diversity for Success Conference on June 11-12 in Chicago, Illinois. He further serves as Gordon & Rees’s national Diversity Committee chair. His practice focuses on commercial and insurance litigation, including ERISA related matters. Hardy is the recipient of the 2012 Richard Marden Davis Award, presented each year by the Denver Bar Association to an attorney under age 40, in recognition of his excellence as a lawyer and his civic, cultural, educational, and charitable leadership. Hardy also is a past-president of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado, a former five-year member of the board of directors for the Center for Legal Inclusiveness, and chair-elect of the University of Colorado Law School's Alumni Board.
