Brendan Mahoney is an Associate in the Hartford office of GRSM. He has over 10 years of experience defending insureds against a variety of liability and property claims, including toxic tort, general liability, labor law, and construction matters. As local counsel, he defended industrial and automotive manufacturers against asbestos claims in Connecticut, working in close coordination with the client and their national counsels. Additionally, he has handled professional liability, commercial, coverage, lender liability, commercial foreclosure, and subrogation matters, as well as private client work.
Most recently, Brendan worked as General Counsel to a risk manager to large property owners, managers, developers, and associations in New York. In this role he oversaw claims, risk transfer, and coverage issues, striving to mitigate risk and deliver the insured value. This work has given him an understanding of the business exigencies that drive decision-making in a turbulent environment.
