    Elena Oguiza is Of Counsel in the Seattle office of GRSM.

    Elena started out working in maritime law defending shipowners and underwriters in claims involving the Jones Act, Maintenance and Cure, Seaworthiness and the Longshore and Harborworkers’ Compensation Act. From there she started defending claims brought under the Defense Base Act. She also spent two years working in insurance subrogation law on cases involving property loss and products liability. Elena is also a professor of maritime law.
