    Erika M. Flores is Senior Counsel in the Chicago office where she focuses her practice on complex litigation matters, including environmental/toxic torts, premise liability, personal injury, product liability and commercial matters.  She has extensive experience drafting pleadings, motions, written discovery and contracts. She is involved in all stages of litigation, including factual investigation, deposing fact witnesses, and attending hearings.  

    Prior to joining GRSM, she was an associate for a Chicago law firm defending complex product liability and commercial litigation claims. In law school, she was a law clerk at a litigation firm, worked in-house for a Fortune 500 company and interned for the Indianapolis Office of Corporation Counsel.

    Erika earned her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she was a member of Moot Court, Phi Delta Phi, Second Chance Re-Entry Program and president of the Hispanic Law Society. She was a recipient of the IUPUI Elite 50 award, which honors students who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, scholarly, and community involvement. In recognition of her moot court experience and her involvement in promoting and representing diversity in the legal community, she was awarded the Robert F. Wagner Trial Advocacy Diversity Scholarship.

    She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Saint Xavier University in Chicago. Prior to law school, she worked in the financial industry servicing foundations, and not-for-profit organizations. Outside of her work in the legal arena, she is interested in traveling, spending time with her family and discovering new restaurants that Chicago has to offer.
