Jacqulyn N. Simmons is an Associate in the New York office of GRSM and is a member of the Product & General Liability practice group. She currently represents defendants in general liability matters and toxic tort claims. Previously, Jacqulyn represented insurance carriers and insureds in coverage matters, general liability matters, and workers’ compensation claims litigating and managing complex claims with an emphasis on favorable and expeditious resolution. She further counseled corporations on corporate governance and procedure and represented corporate clients throughout all phases of litigation in diverse civil matters including discrimination defense, shareholder derivative, breach of contract, landlord tenant, and general liability actions.
She graduated from the University of North Florida with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Sociology and University Honors. While at UNF she devoted over 1000 hours of service to the Jacksonville community by serving in mentoring programs, after school youth programs, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, and refugee resettlement programs.
Jacqulyn graduated from Seton Hall Law with a jurist doctorate in 2013. During law school, Jacqulyn was a law clerk for the Center for Social Justice Immigration and International Human Rights Clinic at Seton Hall Law where she represented victims and witnesses of crimes in their applications for immigration relief. Jacqulyn was competitively selected by faculty committee to participate in The Human Trafficking Prevention and Prosecution Project, where she worked with the Special Victims unit of the Essex County (NJ) Prosecutor’s office educating law enforcement professionals on identifying and assisting victims of human trafficking. In addition, Jacqulyn recruited, trained, and organized volunteers to appear as courtroom advocates on behalf of survivors of domestic violence. She also worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Michael A. Shipp, United States District Court, District of New Jersey.

- In addition to her position at GRSM, Jacqulyn serves as a founding member of Treasures NYC, a participant in the UNICEF Congressional Action Team, a volunteer with Open Hands Legal Services, as well as on the board of the Beauty for Ashes Movement, Inc.
