    Linda Moin Moroney maintains a litigation and counseling practice that extends throughout California and nationwide. In addition to commercial, professional liability (including legal malpractice), and general liability litigation, much of her practice is focused on the successful defense of public and private employers in numerous types of legal matters: workplace investigations, pre-litigation demands, administrative claims, arbitrations, as well as lawsuits in several federal and state courts.  Linda proactively counsels and defends management against claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower reprisals, hostile work environment, disability accommodation, family medical leave laws, ADA violations, wage and hour violations, including wage and hour class action litigation, and other alleged misconduct.  In addition to state and federal lawsuits, arbitrations, and grievances, she regularly handles claims involving the NLRB, DOL, DIR/DLSE, EEOC, DFEH/CRD, OCR, HRC, and other administrative agencies.

    Linda has extensive experience defending long-term clients, ranging from small regional business owners and start-up companies to global Fortune 100 corporations and executives, as well as universities, health systems/ hospitals, biotech companies, non-profit organizations, hospitality (hotel and restaurant) clients, and other prominent institutions. In her role as coordinating counsel for some clients, she oversees teams of lawyers and paralegals, ensuring that all are consistently responsive, efficient, and not just meeting, but exceeding the clients' expectations. By providing high-quality, yet cost-effective service at all times, Linda and her group have achieved a very loyal client base.

    In addition to her more than 25 years of accomplished litigation, trial and arbitration expertise, Linda has significant alternative dispute resolution experience, having successfully handled countless mediations, settlement conferences, and informal negotiations. Moreover, she frequently conducts workplace investigations and also provides employment training, continuing legal education and various seminars/ programs for employers, executives, corporate clients, hospitality clients, insurers, third party administrators, law firms, brokers, and many others.

    From 2010 through 2016, Linda served as the Assistant Managing Partner of the San Francisco office. For several years, Linda has also served as a Practice Group Leader, and she currently heads the Women’s Initiative in the firm's Northern California offices, in addition to other management responsibilities. Linda is very proud to have launched and co-chaired the San Francisco Ladder Down program for women attorneys. This intensive, year-long mentoring program offered hands-on training on leadership, business development and other salient skills to a number of Bay Area women attorneys. In addition, Linda currently chairs the Nor Cal Diversity and Inclusion Committee – a group of dedicated attorneys and staff who are actively working in the Northern California region to support and implement the salient firm-wide objectives of diversity, inclusion and anti-racism.

    Linda has considerable experience representing and defending numerous employers (e.g. universities, schools, hospitals, tech and social media companies, international software companies, start-up entities, hotels, restaurant groups, Napa/Sonoma wineries, biotech pharmaceutical and medical device companies, solar companies, law firms, risk management groups, major retailers, manufacturers, and numerous others), as well as executives, real estate brokers and agents, property owners and managers, insurance brokers and agents, and other professionals in connection with employment claims, E&O work, contract disputes, real property litigation, and additional cases. Linda represents public and private entities in a wide variety of employment matters, and has successfully defended countless employers in discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, disability accommodation, and wage and hour matters, including pre-litigation claims, arbitrations, as well as federal and state lawsuits and trials. Linda is also frequently called upon to handle complex or highly sensitive/ high-profile investigations.
