Nathan A. Huey is a Partner in the firm’s Denver and Missoula offices. Prior to joining GRSM, he practiced law at a major international law firm headquartered in Chicago. Nathan’s practice includes a diverse range of civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts, and at both the trial court and appellate levels.
His practice focuses on tort, construction defects, consumer fraud litigation, and employment litigation including class actions, coordinated pharmaceutical and toxic tort cases, qui tam lawsuits, taxpayer actions, and other claims involving wrongful death and personal injury. He has extensive experience managing and developing legal strategy for mass tort proceedings and class actions, including MDLs and coordinated state court proceedings involving tens of thousands of plaintiffs. His mass tort experience includes cases involving complex scientific concepts, management of electronic discovery, forum non conveniens issues involving foreign plaintiffs, European pharmaceutical regulatory and discovery issues, and application of both European and Asian privacy laws. His employment litigation experience includes defense of wrongful termination lawsuits in state court and defense of federal class actions brought by J-1 Visa holders.
Nathan’s experience includes a variety of high-value professional liability claims on behalf of agents and brokers, in addition to claims against attorneys and medical professionals. He also has wide-ranging experience in insurance defense, including product liability, premises liability, libel/defamation, construction, and bad faith claims.
Nathan has counseled various entities, including product manufacturers, regarding risk management, regulatory considerations, recall management, integration of industry standards, product warnings, and product marketing.
