Renata Ortiz Bloom is the Assistant Managing Partner of the Carlsbad office and a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Tort & Product Liability, Drug & Medical Device, and Securities Litigation Practice Groups in Southern California.
Renata has a varied civil defense practice focused on representing companies in complex commercial litigation, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, premises liability, and securities litigation. She handles such matters from inception through resolution, working with clients and carriers alike to ensure expeditious and successful outcomes.
A significant portion of Renata’s practice involves nationwide representation of medical device, pharmaceutical, and other FDA regulated companies in products liability litigation involving a diverse range of products and drugs. In addition, Renata defends domestic and international hotel operators in premises liability, personal injury and wrongful death claims. Renata also regularly represents financial services firms and insurance companies in federal court, state court and FINRA, defending against a wide range of customer and employee claims.
Renata is a native Spanish speaker, and a conversational speaker of Italian.
