    Tom Duquette is an Associate in the Boston office of GRSM, in the Construction practice group. Tom has successfully represented clients in various complex litigation matters, including construction litigation, professional malpractice, insurance defense, tort defense, contract disputes and transportation industry matters. Prior to joining GRSM, he practiced at a firm specializing in the representation of design professionals, architects and engineers, and was involved in disputes regarding projects both large and small in Massachusetts and across the country. He also has significant experience in maritime law, personal injury, business litigation, commercial disputes, and employment litigation. Tom has represented clients in state and federal court, including courts of appeals, as well as administrative and arbitration tribunals and mediations.

    During law school, Tom served as a judicial intern for the Honorable George A. O’Toole in the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts. He also served as an intern for Harvard University’s Office of Labor and Employee Relations, as well as two well-known Boston law firms.

    Tom is active in the community. He serves as both the Vice Chairman of the Board of Health and Treasurer of the Democratic Town Committee in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, where he lives with his family.

    • Successfully defended a motion to dismiss by out of state defendant arguing both lack of jurisdiction and failure to state a claim.

    • Drafted successful motion to enforce a settlement agreement regarding claims relating to the construction of an iconic skyscraper.

    • Drafted successful opposition to a motion to amend complaint to add a count of negligent misrepresentation related to the partial collapse of a building undergoing demolition.
