    Zach Mazzarella is an Associate in GRSM’s Pittsburgh office and member of the firm’s Health Care and Commercial Litigation practice groups.

    His diverse practice includes experience in the areas of health care law and litigation, commercial business and corporate litigation, class action and civil litigation, and employment litigation. His cases have involved the defense of health care providers in short-term and long-term care settings, as well as helping corporate clients with a variety of breach of contract claims.  

    In the employment context, Zach has represented employers in wage and hour claims, as well as enforced and defended non-compete agreements and other restrictive covenants. He has particular experience with class actions and has defended business and corporate clients against a variety of class action claims at both the federal and state levels. 

    While in law school, and prior to joining GRSM, Zach worked as a law clerk for a Pittsburgh-based, labor and employment law firm, where he gained vast experience drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and other written motions and accompanying briefings in a variety of complex labor and employment matters. He served as an associate editor of the Duquesne Law Review and was the secretary and treasurer of the Labor and Employment Law Society at Duquesne University School of Law. Zach also served as a research assistant to Professor Joy McNally, aiding in the production of the 2020 Cumulative Supplement to The Pennsylvania Constitution: A Treatise on Rights and Liberties.
