Gordon & Rees Launches Environmental and Toxic Tort Defense Insight Blog

April 2014

Gordon & Rees has launched Environmental and Toxic Tort Defense Insight, a blog that covers the ETT legal landscape by providing invaluable information on environmental, chemical, asbestos and other toxic tort claims.

Edited by partners Mike Pietrykowski, Don Willenburg and Christopher Strunk, the blog offers perspectives on timely federal and state legal issues involving air, ground or water contamination; pathogen exposure; chemical or environmental causes of damage or disease; and leaked, spilled, ingested or inhaled substances.

With contributions from members of Gordon & Rees’s Environmental/Toxic Tort Practice Group – nationwide leaders in the defense of ETT claims – the blog also addresses hot topics including asbestos multidistrict litigation; permissible limits for workplace silica exposure; and proposed changes to regulations on agricultural chemicals. The blog will identify best practices to prevent litigation and to limit potential liabilities by ensuring compliance with major environmental statutes.

One of the fastest-growing firms in the country, Gordon & Rees is a national litigation and business transactions firm with more than 550 lawyers and 30 offices in 20 states. In 2013, The National Law Journal ranked the firm 95th on its list of the largest U.S. firms and The American Lawyer ranked the firm at No. 139 on the Am Law 200 and at No. 21 on its Diversity Scorecard. Gordon & Rees has been ranked as a “BTI Client Service All-Star” for the past three years and has been honored as a 2014 "Go-To Law Firm" for Fortune 500 companies as well as selected for inclusion on Corporate Counsel magazine’s 2013 “Who Represents America’s Biggest Companies” list.
