Mr. Sacher represents individuals, businesses, accountants and accounting firms, and financial institutions in general and complex, multi-million dollar civil litigation as both plaintiffs and defendants. He has been recognized by his peers in the area of Securities Litigation and has extensive securities litigation experience, particularly in connection with investigations and enforcement actions brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). Mr. Sacher has advised and successfully defended numerous individuals, entities, local, regional and public companies, as subpoena recipients, subjects/targets in the early stages of SEC/FINRA enforcement investigations, and defendants in full-blown enforcement actions brought by the SEC, through trial and appeal.

“Joe adds significant depth to our growing bench of superb litigators with deep subject matter expertise. His strong subject matter expertise and reputation for excellence make Joe a natural fit for our office and for national clients. He is a wonderful lawyer with deep ties to the community. We are fortunate that he chose Gordon & Rees; the fit is perfect.” said Robin Taylor Symons, managing partner of the firm’s Miami office.

“While we are of course sad to see Joe leave, we could not be happier for him and think that both he and his national clients will greatly benefit from Gordon & Rees’ national platform. We wish him well,” said Barton Sacher, a founding managing partner of Sacher, Zelman, Hartman, Paul, Beiley & Sacher, P.A.

During law school, Mr. Sacher worked as an intern for the SEC’s Atlanta Regional Office. Since graduation, he has lectured to CPAs, Attorneys, International Bankers, and college students on issues relating to the liability of accountants and the securities industry.
