Gordon & Rees Charleston attorney Elizabeth Fritz Bailey was recently named to the 2016 “Forty Under 40” list by the Charleston Regional Business Journal. Each year, the Business Journal and its partners acknowledge 40 individuals under the age of 40 in the Charleston area who represent some of the highly engaged professionals living and working in the Charleston area. Bailey and 39 other professionals were nominated and independently judged by previous “Forty Under 40” winners.
Bailey is senior counsel in the firm's South Carolina office and is a member of the Commercial Litigation, Construction and Employment practice groups. She is an experienced litigator with a 14 year practice in complex commercial litigation and appellate matters. Bailey’s “Forty Under 40” Award also recognizes her civic involvement such as board positions with various volunteer and community service organizations including the South Carolina Historical Society. She is currently chairing her children’s k-8 magnet school School Improvement Council and provided leadership during changes and budget cuts in the Charleston County School District. She also has assisted in the school district’s diversity initiatives.
