Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani continues its expansion on the east coast with the opening of an office in Wilmington, Delaware. The Delaware office is the firm's 47th office nationwide and is led by Office Managing Partner Michael C. Heyden, Jr. Admitted to practice in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Heyden, Jr. joins the firm as a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation practice. Heyden, Jr. will also be a partner in the firm's Philadelphia office.

Heyden, Jr. concentrates his practice on the representation of insurers in coverage and extra-contractual liability counseling and litigation, as well as the defense of insureds and self-insureds in casualty matters. His experience includes the defense of products liability, premises liability, liquor liability, executive and professional liability, and employment discrimination matters. Heyden also maintains an active docket of commercial and real estate disputes, including eminent domain matters.
Heyden, Jr. has also defended nation-wide product manufacturers and contractors in toxic tort litigation in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey, and has extensive experience in benzene and asbestos litigation.
He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts: District of New Jersey, District of Delaware, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Heyden, Jr. earned his law degree from Rutgers School of Law at Camden and his bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Delaware State Bar Association.
