Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani continues its national expansion with the opening of an office in Louisville, Kentucky. The Louisville office is the firm's 48th location nationwide and is led by Office Managing Partner Angela M. Richie. Admitted to practice in Kentucky, West Virginia and Illinois, Richie joins the firm as a member of the firm's Construction Law Practice Group.

Richie is the first attorney in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to achieve Green Advantage® certification in Commercial and Residential construction and is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). With her deep experience in construction law and sustainable practices, she is able to advise clients on how to effectively maximize green design and construction. Richie also is frequently asked to present at regional steel fabricator association meetings and seminars hosted by the American Institute of Steel Construction.
She frequently consults with steel fabricators and other members of the structural steel industry on issues such as: claims for non-payment; allegations of defective fabrication and erection of structural steel; OSHA violations and related retaliation actions; application of the Buy America(n) statutes and regulations; and contracts between steel fabricators, general contractors, and downstream detailers, structural engineers, and erectors. She also assists owners, contractors and subcontractors, and subcontractors on a variety of construction issues ranging from construction contracts, collection of unpaid amounts, OSHA violations, mechanic's liens, workers compensation immunity disputes, and prevailing wage disputes.
Richie is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern District of West Virginia. She is member of the: American Bar Association; Kentucky Bar Association; Louisville Bar Association; and Society of American Military Engineers. She is a member of the Governing Committee for the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law (“Forum”), and also serves as the Forum’s Membership Chair. Richie also serves as Counsel to Code of Standard Practice Committee for the American Institute of Steel Construction, as well as the Virginia Carolina Structural Steel Fabricator Association and the Southern Association of Steel Fabricators.
Richie received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law and her bachelor’s degree with high honors in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisville Speed Scientific School.
