Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Suzanne L. Jones as Partner in the Minneapolis office and as a member of the Insurance practice group. Jones joins the firm from the Minneapolis office of Hinshaw & Culbertson.
Jones represents insurance companies across the country in complex first and third-party declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract actions, rescission actions, direct actions and extra-contractual and bad faith actions. Jones also counsels clients on their risk and obligations under a variety of insurance policies throughout the claims process, from pre-suit demands through trial or settlement.
Her primary focus is to be an ardent advocate for her clients while effectively and efficiently managing their potential risk to ultimately achieve her clients’ goals. Jones also defends insurance professionals, real estate agents, and attorneys against professional liability claims.
Her extensive experience in risk management, and her passion for horses, has developed into a sub-specialty in equine law. Jones counsels equine professionals, veterinarians, farm owners, trainers, and horse owners on managing their risk and liability under Minnesota law.
While in law school, she was a judicial extern clerk for the Honorable Earl Carroll, U.S. District Court, Arizona during the summer of 2007 through the ABA’s JIOP program. She earned her law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Boston College.
