Clay Olson and Jim Saxton Join Gordon & Rees in the Charleston Office

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Christopher Clay Olson as a partner in the firm’s Charleston office. Olson joins the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Construction practice groups. He is joined by associate James W. Saxton, Jr. 

The addition of Olson and Saxton to the Charleston office is part of the firm's strategic national growth, fortifying the firm’s 50-state platform providing clients with seamless and uninterrupted service nationwide.

Clay Olson brings 20 years of litigation experience on behalf of insurance companies, regional and local businesses, and has maintained his practice focus on litigating commercial matters pertaining to contractors, retailers, franchisors, franchisees, developers, manufacturers, design professionals, insurance companies, and local businesses large and small.

His industry focus has allowed him to litigate matters involving construction defects, premises liability, property damage, bodily injury, and insurance coverage. Through his roles as an attorney in private law firms, as corporate in-house counsel, and leadership positions with industry organizations such as the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, Olson has the knowledge and expertise to efficiently navigate multiple-litigant suits in a cost-effective manner, which optimizes client outcomes.

He is admitted to practice in South Carolina. He earned his law degree from The University of South Carolina School of Law and undergraduate degree from Wofford College.

James Saxton focuses his practice on complex construction litigation representing developers, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and suppliers in residential and commercial construction disputes. He earned his undergraduate degree from the A.J. Palumbo School of Business Administration at Duquesne University and his Juris Doctor at the Charleston School of Law.
