Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Williamsburg partner Susan Childers North authored an article "Virginia Adopts Workplace COVID-19 Standards" published in the latest edition of the Southeastern Virginia Chapter of Community Associations Institute’s Currents publication, the regional chapter of the Community Associations Institute (“CAI”).
The article discusses Virginia’s recently adopted COVID-19 workplace standards that went into effect in late 2020. She details the new standards and basic protections for employees and shares recommendations for employers to remain in compliance.
CAI is an international membership organization dedicated to building better communities. With nearly 40,000 members, CAI has 64 chapters worldwide, including Canada, the Middle East and South Africa, and relationships with housing leaders in a number of other countries, including Australia and the United Kingdom. CAI provides information, education and resources to the homeowner volunteers who govern communities and the professionals who support them.
North is co-managing partner of the firm's Richmond and Williamsburg offices. Her practice includes counseling, mediation, arbitration and litigation of a variety of employment issues, including sexual harassment, race and sex discrimination, age discrimination and disability discrimination, wage and hour claims, as well as covenants not to compete, non-disclosure agreements, business conspiracy and trade secrets.
