Dallas Partner Megan Adeyemo has been reappointed to the positions of Director to the Content Board of the Section, Co-Chair of the Publications Subcommittee, and Co-Chair of the Pro Bono Services Subcommittee for the Business Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association ("ABA") Business Law Section. She will serve a three-year term in each of these positions.
In her roles, she will work to further the mission of the Business Bankruptcy Committee to provide cutting-edge educational programming and content to attorneys, develop and review proposed bankruptcy legislation and rules, and supply opportunities for young lawyers to build their expertise by working with established professionals around the country.
Ms. Adeyemo is Co-Chair of the firm’s national Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors' Rights practice group. She has substantial experience in the representation of debtors, creditors, and trustees in bankruptcy proceedings throughout the United States. She has negotiated settlements and debtor-in-possession financing and drafted asset purchase agreements and other asset transfer documents, including the transfer of intellectual property rights. Ms. Adeyemo’s bankruptcy experience encompasses, among other areas, destination resort clubs, finance, farming, manufacturing, real estate, and commercial property.
