This article explains how to tender judgment to a named plaintiff in a putative class action, which can effectively resolve the entire lawsuit. This procedure is important to keep in mind because the U.S. Seventh Circuit has raised the bar on standing for consumer class actions, and they are being increasingly filed in Illinois state court.
