Charmaine L. Huntting Joins GRSM as Employment Partner in San Diego

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, the nation's first and only full-service law firm with offices in all 50 states, welcomes Charmaine L. Huntting as a Partner in the firm's San Diego office, bolstering the Employment Law practice group.

Huntting has over twenty years of experience practicing labor and employment law in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. She represents and advises labor union members and employees, as well as private, public sector, and tribal employers, in labor and employment law matters. She previously served as in-house counsel for a labor union, representing the union itself and its public employee members concerning all matters involving California public sector labor relations law. 

She spent the first three years of her legal career representing American Indian tribes and low-income Native American individuals on issues of Federal Indian law arising in California, including matters concerning the Indian Child Welfare Act, environmental law, and application of Federal labor statutes to tribal labor relations.

She advises clients regarding a variety of employment-related claims, including wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, labor union /management disputes, and numerous other types of employment law matters. She regularly consults with human resources professionals to advise on a wide array of matters, including worker classification, personnel policies and procedures, and employee handbooks.

Huntting is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. She earned her law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge.
