Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, the nation's first and only full-service law firm with offices in all 50 states, welcomes Stephen Murphy and Meredith Pitts as partners in the firm's St. Louis and Tampa offices, strengthening the firm's national Construction practice group. The arrival of these new partners coincides with the recent transition of their colleague, Quinn Murphy, from the same former firm.
Murphy focuses his practice on business litigation, particularly professional liability and insurance law, representing a wide range of clients from large businesses to individuals. He has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, from investigation to appeals, and is certified as a Litigation Management Professional by the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance
He is admitted to practice in the Eastern District of Missouri, Western District of Missouri, Northern District of Illinois, Southern District of Illinois, U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, and 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. Murphy earned his law degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois.
Pitts brings a diverse background in business litigation matters, representing lenders, servicers, and finance companies in matters ranging from reviewing and negotiating commercial loan documentation to preparing loan documents, collections, and litigation.
Pitts is admitted to practice in the Eastern District of Missouri, Western District of Missouri, Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, Southern District of Illinois, and 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. She received her law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University.
