Partner David Gersten Selected as Featured Presenter for NJC Judicial Decision Making Course

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Partner David Gersten will deliver several presentations during "Decision Making," a multi-day, in-person CLE course hosted by the National Judicial College ("NJC") in Seattle, Washington, from August 19-22, 2024.

This course aims to enhance your understanding of the judicial decision-making process by examining psychological factors, personality influences, and ethical considerations, while also offering practical guidance for effective decision-making from the bench. Gersten's presentations will explore the identification and application of key ethical philosophies to decision-making and ethical dilemmas, the analysis and explanation of rulings in such cases, the recognition and application of various standards of review, and the development of effective writing skills for crafting clear, well-reasoned opinions and orders in legal proceedings.

Gersten, former Chief Judge in Florida's Third District Court of Appeal, is a Partner in the Commercial Litigation practice group of GRSM’s Miami office. He represents clients in litigation and appeals in a multitude of areas, including commercial, labor, administrative, professional liability, real estate, land use, and probate law.
