The landlord asserted over $125,000 in back rent and sought attorneys’ fees, interest, and costs against the client and co-defendant. After five years of contentious litigation that included two separate interlocutory appeals, the firm obtained complete summary judgment on behalf of the client, making the client eligible for mandatory attorneys’ fees under the operative lease.
The court’s ruling vindicated the client’s long-held position that the client had no responsibility for the alleged unpaid rent.
