    Erika M. Fisher is an Associate in the Louisville office of GRSM and is a member of the Construction and Insurance practice groups. Erika has considerable experience in complex litigation in both civil and criminal practice.

    As a former Deputy State Public Defender for the State of Colorado, Erika handled hundreds of cases ranging from petty offenses to class one felonies and represented both indigent adults and juveniles accused of crimes and status offenses.  Erika has tried dozens of cases to verdict and successfully litigated complex legal issues through motions practice and oral arguments. The substantial courtroom experience gained during her time as public defender serves her clients in a variety of litigation matters. Erika's additional background in insurance defense allows her to successfully advise clients throughout the discovery process and engage in meaningful settlement negotiations. She has litigated numerous civil cases involving negligence, personal injury, and wrongful death.

    Her practice at GRSM is focused on representation of construction clients litigating contractual and other disputes as well as defending insurance companies in personal injuries matters.

    Erika received her law degree from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, where she received her first favorable jury verdict with Criminal Defense Clinic, was a member of the Advocacy Department, Moot Court, and a Law Ambassador to the University. Erika graduated from Purdue University, where she earned degrees in Political Science and Sociology, and successfully completed the College of Liberal Arts Honor’s Program.
