    Cameron Grant is Partner in the Kansas City office of GRSM.

    Cameron has expansive experience in state and federal courts and arbitral forums, having successfully taken numerous cases to trial or final arbitration hearings, and having successfully briefed and argued appeals in the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the 2nd, 5th and 8th Circuits, and state courts.

    Prior to joining GRSM, Cameron was a Partner at a preeminent Kansas City litigation boutique; prior to that he practiced in the New York City office of a large international firm. Cameron has represented numerous individuals and commercial entities, including employers, law firms, global financial institutions and commercial lenders in all aspects of litigation.

    Representative Experience

    • Obtained 8th Circuit reversal of an order from the Western District of Missouri, which had denied a motion to compel arbitration in favor of individual executives of a company who were not personally parties to the arbitration agreement at issue; the 8th Circuit reversed and ordered arbitration as to all parties.
    • Represented franchisor in hearing before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) concerning claims arising from acquisition of franchise.
    • Successfully defended 8th Circuit appeal, resulting in affirmance of decision dismissing third-party intervenor complaint against a client for lack of standing.
    • Represented oil and gas company in hearing before the AAA concerning breach of contract claims.
    • Obtained summary judgment dismissing employment discrimination claims against Kansas City-based employer brought in the Western District of Texas, and 5th Circuit affirmance of the judgment dismissing the complaint in its entirety.
    • Obtained affirmance of U.S. District Court judgment dismissing claims against national banking association after oral argument on appeal heard by 2nd Circuit.
    • Successfully defended appeal for a commercial lender in New York's Appellate Division, in a fraud action regarding a failed construction project.
    • Obtained a favorable settlement on behalf of commercial lender following borrower's default on a multimillion-dollar condominium loan.
    • Successfully defended appeal of multimillion-dollar judgment against guarantor of commercial loan resulting in affirmance of judgment.
    • Successfully defended appeal on behalf of a limited liability partnership, upholding the partnership's breach of contract claim.
    • Obtained dismissal of counterclaims in federal court alleged by commercial borrowers in connection with sale of billion-dollar loan portfolio.
