    Jennifer A. Morante is Senior Counsel in the Detroit office of GRSM and is a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. 

    Prior to joining GRSM, Jennifer served in the general counsel’s office for one of the world’s largest communications, advertising, public relations technology and commerce firms. As a compliance lead, she provided guidance and training in all areas of advertising law, including social media and influencer campaigns, product integrations, native advertising, sweepstakes and promotions, intellectual property licensing and clearance, name image and likeness rights, privacy considerations, and product claim substantiation and development, with particular emphasis on the automotive industry.  

    Jennifer also has diverse litigation experience, having handled a wide variety of commercial disputes and compliance matters including antitrust, false advertising, intellectual property, automobile negligence, premises liability, general liability. She understands that defending a lawsuit can be a stressful and disruptive experience, and prides herself on obtaining the best possible results for her clients through consistent communication, diligent investigation and persistent advocacy.

    • Obtained dismissal of Sherman Act and state law unfair competition claims in favor of consensus standards development organization, affirmed on appeal. Hobart-Mayfield, Inc. v. Nat'l Operating Comm. on Standards for Athletic Equip., No. 19-CV-12712, 2021 WL 1575297 (E.D. Mich. Apr. 22, 2021), aff'd, 48 F.4th 656 (6th Cir. 2022)
       
    • Obtained dismissal of Sherman Act, Lanham Act, state law unfair business practices and tortious interference claims in favor of onsite wastewater treatment system manufacturer in the Eastern District of Michigan. Geomatrix, LLC v. NSF Int'l, No. 20-13331, 2022 WL 4369950 (E.D. Mich. Sept. 21, 2022) (dismissal of group boycott)
       
    • Successfully obtained dismissal of breach of warranty action in favor of farm equipment repair shop as a sanction for plaintiff’s failure to comply with discovery.
       
    • Compliance lead for advertising and marketing assets related to some of the best-selling vehicles in America, including claim substantiation, social media, influencer/ambassador campaigns, and product launches.
