    Mindi Schulze is a Partner in the Raleigh office of GRSM. She concentrates her practice in the area of health care, including medical malpractice, nursing home liability defense, and professional licensing matters.

    Mindi litigates matters in a variety of state, federal, and appellate courts. She also represents clients before regulatory and licensing boards. She has nearly 20 years of experience managing all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit negotiations, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions practice, jury trials, and appeals.

    Mindi’s health care practice includes the defense of physicians, their practices, and hospitals against medical malpractice claims, including catastrophic injury, birth injury, and wrongful death. She also has experience defending long term care facilities against claims of neglect and malpractice. This work encompasses all stages of litigation – from pre-suit investigations through trial and appeal. Mindi also represents health care professionals before licensing boards in North Carolina and Virginia, including medical, dental, and nursing boards. She also has experience representing and advising clients regarding HIPAA/HITECH and Medicare/Medicaid compliance issues.

    Mindi also has experience litigating commercial and general liability cases, including construction defect and commercial and contract disputes. She also defends malpractice claims against professionals in a wide range of industries, including health care providers, accountants, financial and investment advisors, property managers, and attorneys. In addition, Mindi advises and represents her clients in connection with professional licensing board investigations and inquiries.

    Mindi has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America for medical malpractice defense and by Business North Carolina Magazine as one of the Legal Elite “Young Guns.”
