Gordon & Rees Announces Opening of New Boston Office

April 2015

Gordon & Rees is continuing its national expansion with the opening of its 35th office in Boston, Massachusetts on May 1, 2015.  The Boston office will complement the firm’s existing presence in the Northeast and allow it to better serve its many clients with needs in the area.

John Robinson has been named managing partner of the office, and will be joined by partner William Murray and associates Delaney Busch, Glenn Coffin, Kelly Kirby, and Greil Roberts.  The Boston office attorneys primarily serve clients in complex products liability, toxic tort, medical device, construction, commercial, and insurance coverage litigation, as well as in other legal sectors.

“Having recently arrived at Gordon & Rees, the opening of this office further enhances my excitement about our ability to serve our clients’ needs throughout the country,” said John Robinson.  “Boston has itself an amazing entrepreneurial spirit, and seems a natural fit for Gordon & Rees.”

Managing Partner Dion Cominos added, “Boston has been a target location of the firm for some time and we are pleased to enter this market with outstanding practitioners with a positive and lengthy track record in the region.”

Gordon & Rees’s expansion across the country is part of its long-term plan to open offices in strategic locations of importance to clients.  Since 2000, Gordon & Rees has more than tripled in size, adding nearly 30 offices, and has a major office in eight of the 10 largest cities in the United States.  In the last two years alone, Gordon & Rees opened eight new offices: Birmingham, Ala.; Charleston, S.C.; Harrisburg, Pa.; Oakland, Calif.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Raleigh, N.C.; and Tampa, Fla.  Boston is the firm’s second office opening this year.

One of the fastest-growing firms in the country, Gordon & Rees is a national litigation and business transactions firm with more than 650 lawyers and 35 offices in 22 states. It is the 71st largest United States law firm, and ranked No. 26 on the American Lawyer’s Diversity Scorecard. Gordon & Rees has been recognized on the "BTI Client Service A-Team" survey for the past three years and has been honored as a 2014 "Go-To Law Firm" for Fortune 500 companies as well as selected for inclusion on Corporate Counsel magazine's 2014 "Who Represents America's Biggest Companies" list.
