Joining Blatchley in delivering this webcast presentation was Amisha Patel of Dechert LLP and Thomas A. Woods of Stoel Rives LLP.

This panel of key thought leaders and professionals brought the audience to a road beyond the basics of defending against TCPA lawsuits and as they delved into the in-depth analysis of the current compliance trends and recent court rulings.The speakers also provided the audience with practical strategies in bringing out the best in these lawsuits in a rapidly evolving legal climate. Blatchley’s presentation delved into the novel issue of ringless voicemail, an emerging technology and recent hotbed of TCPA litigation.  Blatchley also discussed direct and vicarious liability and means to avoid TCPA liability for calls, texts, and faxes made by third-party entities.  Blatchley also overviewed recent FCC rulings and pending federal legislation shaping the TCPA and robocalls generally.  Blatchley concluded with tips to avoid TCPA claims and liability generally, and practice pointers for effectively defending TCPA individual and class actions.
