Cynthia Y. Patane Joins Gordon & Rees as Partner in Health Care Practice Group

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, the nation's first and only law firm with offices in all 50 states, welcomes Cynthia Y. Patane as a Partner in the firm's Phoenix office. She joins the Health Care practice group.

Ms. Patane focuses her practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, health care law, and risk management. She has significant experience litigating medical malpractice cases of all varieties. A substantial portion of her practice has been dedicated to defending ophthalmologists and other health care providers at most Arizona licensing boards, including the Arizona Medical Board, the Arizona Board of Osteopathic Examiners, and the Arizona Board of Optometry.

"We are excited to expand our health care footprint in Arizona with the addition of Cynthia Patane," said Lindsey Romano, co-chair of the firm's Health Care practice group. "She brings incredible well-rounded experience and will add value for our clients."

Ms. Patane assists hospitals, physicians, and medical corporations with risk management. She also regularly gives presentations to healthcare professionals regarding medical-legal matters and devotes a significant amount of her time to community-based nonprofit endeavors. 

Ms. Patane is admitted to practice in Arizona and the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona. She earned her law degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Law, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas.

Gordon & Rees' national Health Care practice group represents and advises general and specialty hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, acute psychiatric hospitals, residential behavioral health facilities, and other health care providers. The group's experience includes malpractice, elder abuse, contract, class action, fraud, compliance, reimbursement, False Claims Act, and HIPAA matters.
