Gordon & Rees Hires Partner Thomas F. Giordano to Fortify Construction Practice Group

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, the nation's first and only law firm with offices in all 50 states, welcomes Thomas F. Giordano as a partner in the firm's Westchester office. Joining the Construction practice group, he is the 39th new partner to join the firm this year.

Giordano focuses his practice on providing legal advice and assistance to owners, developers, contractors, and sureties in connection with a broad range of construction-related transactions, claims, and disputes. He is a skilled contract drafter, negotiator, and a seasoned litigator with 28 years of experience in the construction field. His legal skills are uniquely bolstered by his architectural training and experience in historic preservation and construction project management, acquired during his years as the Director of Historic Preservation for Central Park in New York.

His practice includes negotiation, litigation, arbitration, and mediation in New York, Connecticut, and various other jurisdictions, and he regularly represents clients in the prosecution and defense of mechanic's liens and a wide variety of construction and insurance claims. He has extensive experience in discovering, analyzing, and managing electronic and paper-based information in large-scale, document-intensive construction and commercial cases.

Giordano was recognized by Best Lawyers in America® in Construction Law and Litigation - Construction from 2017-2023. He was also recognized by Chambers USA in Construction Law from 2019-2022 and New York Super Lawyers® from 2020-2022. 

Giordano is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. He earned his law degree from Fordham University School of Law and was inducted into the Fordham Law School Order of the Coif. Giordano earned a Master's Degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Historic Preservation and his undergraduate degree from Columbia University.
