    Reese Wade is a Partner in the Dallas office of GRSM and a member of the Commercial Litigation and Employment practice groups. He performs various functions as outside general business counsel for corporate clients relating to entity formation and governance, including, but not limited to, preparation of non-competition, confidentiality, non-disclosure, and various other employment agreements; company agreements; asset purchase agreements; membership interest transfer agreements; and form business contracts.

    He handles all stages of litigation in insurance defense matters, typically defending individuals and businesses against negligence and premises liability claims as well as property damage claims.

    He also assists individual and entity clients in connection with prosecuting and defending commercial business litigation matters involving breach of contract, suit on sworn account, quantum meruit, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, Texas Securities Act, Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, trade secret infringement, and intellectual property claims.

    • Obtained Order Granting Plaintiff’s Sworn Motion for Summary Disposition on client’s common-law fraud and Texas Theft Liability Act claims against client’s former employee, including awards for Plaintiff’s actual damages, statutory damages, reasonable and necessary attorneys’ fees, and court costs in connection with Cause No. JPC-23-05717-51, Justice Court, Precinct 5, Place 1, Dallas County, Texas.
    • Obtained dismissal of Plaintiff’s breach of contract and negligence claims via Court’s Order granting Defendant’s Sworn Motion for Summary Disposition and Defendant’s Second Sworn Motion for Summary Disposition in connection with Cause No. J2-CV-21-003184, Justice Court, Precinct 2, Travis County, Texas.
    • Obtained unanimous defense verdict and take nothing judgment in favor of homebuilder on Plaintiff’s nuisance, negligence, fraud, and negligent misrepresentation claims in connection with Cause No. JS2200322A, Justice Court, Precinct 3, Place 1, Dallas County, Texas.
    • Obtained dismissal of Plaintiff’s breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation claims via traditional motion for summary judgment in connection with Cause No. 416-06426-2021, 416th Judicial District Court, Collin County, Texas.
    • Obtained dismissal of Plaintiffs’ claims brought under the Fair Debt Collections Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Section 3-601 of the Uniform Commercial Code, Truth in Lending Act, 18 U.S.C. §§ 1341 and 1343, and Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act via summary judgment in connection with Civil Action No. 4:21-cv-01661, United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas—Houston Division.
    • Obtained dismissal of Plaintiff’s claims brought under the Federal Trade Commission Act, Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and Truth in Savings Act via motion to dismiss in connection with Case No. 3:22-cv-00065, United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
    • Obtained first Certificate of Occupancy issued by the City of Fort Worth, Texas for the purpose of growing hemp indoors on behalf of limited liability company client.
